My name is Christine, and I'm an experienced American English tutor with over 5 years of teaching expertise. My primary focus is helping students master complex grammar and expand their vocabulary. I take pride in my dedication to delivering high-quality lessons and creating an engaging learning environment.
I strive to make learning advanced English an enjoyable journey by breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable rules.
My personal strengths lie in my patience, flexibility, empathy, and the ability to bring a sense of humor to the classroom.

Who are my classes NOT designed for?
Your level is lower than B2 
My lessons are not for you if your level is lower than B2. In my classes I use C1-C2 materials. Thus, if you are a B1 English learner, our classes will be too complex for you. 
You are younger than 18 years old
My lessons are not for you if you are younger than 18 years old. I feel more comfortable working with adults because they are usually more motivated, and I can discuss a wide range of topics with them.
You have a very busy schedule

My lessons are not for you if you are not ready to make a commitment in terms of time and efforts.
My program implies having classes at least once a week and dedicating a lot of time to doing homework.

Here you can watch video feedback from my students. Most of the videos were recorded approximately 6 months since we first started our classes. Those students who continued having classes on a regular basis have achieved B2-C1 levels. 
About my classes
☑️ For my classes I use C1-C2 coursebooks as a base and a great deal of authentic materials based on American English, including videos, audios and articles.

☑️ I conduct all of my classes on super convenient digital platforms (without pdf files and sharing a screen via Skype).

☑️ In most of my classes I follow a flipped classroom approach, which means you do most of your preparation at home (be it grammar, vocabulary, or listening and reading) to make our classes highly effective and make the most out of them. In class, we practice and activate all the learned material in varios speaking exercises and games.

What levels do you work with?
I work with students that have at least B2+ because the coursebooks and materials I use will be too complex for B1 students.
What age groups do you work with?
I only work with adults because they are often more motivated, and we can discuss a wide range of topics.
What materials do you use?
I use C1-C2 coursebooks and authentic materials (audios, videos, articles).
Where do you conduct your classes?
All lessons are conducted on convenient digital platfoms. I don't share a screen via Skype using pdf materials. 
How much is 1 class?
You can choose a suitable option in the "Book lessons" section.
What is the duration of 1 class?

Depending on your availability and preferences, 1 class can be either 60 or 90 minutes (if I have time slots available).

What is included in the price of 1 class?
You can read this information in the "My classes" section.
Do you have a trial lesson?
I have a free 30-minute session, during which I estimate your language level, your current goals and check whether or not we are compatible on a personal level.
If you decide to have classes with me after the free session, you choose a suitable package and pay for one month in advance.
How many classes should I pay for?
All payments are conducted 1 month in advance. If you choose to have 8 classes, you pay for 8 classes. If you prefer to have 12 private lessons, you pay for 12 lessons correspondingly.
Are your classes suitable for me if I just need more speaking practice?
No, my program is designed in a way that allows you to boost all your skills equally, with a slightly stronger focus on grammar. However, we do have a lot of speaking practice in our classes because I follow a flipped classroom approach, which you can read about in the "My lessons" section.
What will I achieve?
You will have a clear structure of English grammar and perceive it as a comprehensive mechanism rather than a set of separate rules. You will start using complex grammar and advanced vocabulary in speech. You will boost your writing and get rid of spelling mistakes (if  any). You will practice different writing styles that you might need in your professional life. And you will have a lot of fun watching and discussing videos in American English. 
What will happen if I miss a lesson?
All missed lessons (with or without a prior notification) are paid. And of course, it slows down your progress. 
Can I reschedule a lesson?
I have a strict policy when it comes to skipping lessons. However, I am pretty flexible when you need to reschedule your class due to some circumstances. You can reschedule 2 classes per month.
What if I don't do my homework?
Most of my classes are based on the Flipped classroom approach (you can read about it in the "My lessons" section) to save our precious lesson time and spend it on discussing what you've learnt at home. If you don't do your homework, it will obviously make lessons less efficient since we will spend time on doing tasks that you could've done at home.

What should I do to start classes?
To start classes with me, you should click on "Book a free lesson" to book a free 30-minute session, during which I will estimate your level and give you more detailed information about the format of our classes. After that, if you decide to have classes with me, you should choose 8 or 12 classes and pay for 1 month in advance.
